The Founders
Jacob Giardina and Ronald Adams of Thibodaux, Louisiana, are the co-founders and co-owners of Jaron Land Development Company, LLC, the developer of Acadia Plantation TND.
Jacob Giardina
After graduation in 1962, Giardina joined the Thomson Machinery Company in Thibodaux as a project engineer and remained there until January of 1965. In 1965, Giardina and a group of people were involved in the formation of Cane Machinery & Engineering Company, which later grew into Cameco Industries, Inc., of today. Giardina held various positions, ranging from project engineer, assistant general manager, sales manager, general manager, and finally president and CEO until his retirement in December of 1999. He is currently president and CEO of Honiron Corporation, a manufacturing company in Jeanerette, LA, and is also president of Rebecca Plantation and also is co-founder and co-manager of Acadia Agricultural Holdings LLC., a land holding company, which owns Acadia Plantation.
Ronald Adams
In 1957, Adams partnered with his father and began sugar cane farming. In 1968, he purchased his fatherís interest in the farm and became president of Adams Farms, Inc. Adams started doing contracting work by performing hurricane cleanup after Hurricane Camille. In 1974, Adams formed and incorporated Ronald Adams Contractor, Inc. which provides civil and earthmoving construction services throughout the Southeast. He is currently Manager of Ronald Adams Contractor, Inc., LLC; Equipment Holding Company, LLC, an equipment leasing company; and R J Adams Properties, LLC, a land holding company. He is also co-founder and co-manager of Acadia Agricultural Holdings, LLC, a land holding company, which owns Acadia Plantation.
These two men have joined together to form Jaron Land Development Company LLC, the company developing Acadia Plantation, and have undertaken a very unique project on a portion of that acreage that will benefit Thibodaux and the surrounding areas for years to come.
